Plan of Salvation
I. Acknowledge self as sinner.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth in not in us.” I John 1:8
“For we all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
There is no chance to be saved unless you come to realize you are a SINNER.
II. Believe in Christ.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31
“He that believeth on the Son halt everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Simply believe on Him-as the one who bore your sin, and died in your place, was buried and was raised for your justification. NOW CALL UPON HIM!
III. Confess Christ as Savior.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 10″32.
“That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart men believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10.
God will claim as His child any of us who will claim Christ as our Savior, but we must simply confess with the mouth what we have already trusted in our hearts.
“BEHOLD, now is the accepted time: BEHOLD, now is the day of salvation.” II Corinthians 6:2.
